Friday, April 16 Dinner with Julie Mallory, Gold Level Master Gardener Julie is the "Lady Gardener" from the Evansville Courier and Press and her theme is "Gardening to Enhance Your Property". When: Friday, April 16 • 6:30 p.m. EDT Where: Harvest Moon B&B, 210 Main Street, 812-367-1881 Menu: Grilled apple salad, pork loin topped with brown sugar and sesame seeds, garlic mashed potatoes, fresh baked bread with homemade jam, jelly and honey butter, caramel apple upside down pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, coffee, tea or lemonade. Saturday, April 17 Aromatherapy 11 a.m. — Essential Oils presented by Sister Mary Andre Gettelfinger in For Heaven's Sake gift shop. Sister will share the ancient secrets of aromatherapy. There is no charge for this fascinating presentation.
Fashion 1:30 p.m. — Fashion Show of the Decades at the Ferdinand American Legion. Enjoy a bevy of models wearing period clothing. Refreshments and desserts will be served. Enter the drawing for a "fashionable" prize. Cost is $10 and all proceeds benefit Relay for Life.
Sunday, April 18 Dining 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Brunch at Harvest Moon B&B, 210 Main Street. Enjoy homemade bread and ranch-style gravy, stuffed french toast, cinnamon rolls, bread pudding, egg casseroles, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, juice, coffee and much more. Cost is $9 per person for adults; $4.50 for ages 4 to 10; 3 and under, free. Reservations are recommended but not required. Call 812-367-1881.
Cooking 11:30 a.m. — Herbal Delights with professional culinarian Connie Fritz in the Ferdinand Senior Citizen's Center. Enjoy a gourmet luncheon buffet featuring soup, petite chicken salad sandwiches, several savory and sweet side items, cakes and pies, plus drinks. Dine while enjoying fascinating food demonstrations. Butterfly Gardening 1 p.m. — Attracting Butterflies to your Garden at Tin Lizzie's by Gold Level Advanced Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Debbie Goedde. Free and open to the public. Upcoming events Healthy Kids day at the Tri-County YMCA The Tri-County YMCA will host Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 24, at 5th Street Park in Ferdinand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring the entire family and enjoy the day participating in a variety of activities that promote a Healthy Spirit, Mind, and Body. Admission is free and open to the public. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Tri-County YMCA.
